Neurology Patient

“ I knew I was in good hands here. ”

John Disilvestro
John Disilvestro, a professional pilot of over 40 years, was in perfect health until one day his health started quickly deteriorating. He was experiencing weakness and shortness of breath. When he made it to Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall (MSLC), he was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disease called Myasthenia Gravis, a disorder that caused John's body to attack his own muscle cells. The team at MSLC was able to help John quickly and efficiently. As of October 2024, John was cleared to fly again. Learn more about John's story in the below video.
