Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Earned Designation as a Great Place to Work-Certified™ Company for the Fourth Consecutive Year!
Cornwall/Newburgh, NY – September 24, 2020 – Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall (MSLC) announced today that it is Great Place to Work-Certified™ for the fourth consecutive year. Using validated employee feedback gathered with rigorous, data-driven, “For All methodology”, survey results revealed that 91% of MSLC employees feel the organization is a Great Place to Work, which is a 4% increase from last year’s results. Of this percentage, 67% of those surveyed were front line employees.
MSLC is one of only 13 hospitals in the nation to achieve this designation, joining the likes of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Hackensack Meridian Health, and Baylor Scott & White Health.
“This recognition truly speaks to the heart of our organization,” said Joan Cusack-McGuirk, MSLC President and CEO. “The diverse nature of our workforce, and the manner in which we embrace each other’s differences, and those of the community we are privileged to care for is part of what makes MSLC so special. We are so honored to receive this recognition for the fourth year in a row, as it is a tribute to our entire workforce.”
MSLC is dedicated to providing a workplace that is inclusive of all. An overwhelming 95% of respondents indicated that they feel good about the manner in which their work contributes to the community. Additionally, 94% of employees said that their work has a special meaning, leaving them with a sense of pride.
“We congratulate Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall on their Certification,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Best Workplace List Research at Great Place to Work. “Organizations that earn their employees’ trust create great workplace cultures that deliver outstanding business results.”
MSLC was invited to participate in this exclusive survey in 2017, and since that time, the hospital has seen a steady increase in employee satisfaction and engagement ratings as evidenced in this survey. MSLC is also ranked among Fortune’s Top 40 Best Workplaces in Healthcare & Biopharma for 2020. Additionally, the hospital has been named in the top 5 percent of hospitals in the nation for Clinical Excellence according to a national report by Healthgrades
