ORANGE COUNTY HARLEY OWNER’S GROUP DONATES MORE THAN $3,000 TO MONTEFIORE ST. LUKE’S CORNWALL’S LITTMAN CANCER CENTER.
The Orange County Harley Owners Group recently presented a check for $3,100 to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall’s (MSLC) Littman Cancer Center. This generous donation was part of an event held in recognition of OCNYHOG’s continued support of MSLC.
Held in honor one of their late members who passed away a few years ago, this annual reception began in 2016 when members of MSLC came together to celebrate the life of Salvatore P. Porcaro who lost his battle with cancer. Sal’s daughter, Donna Florie, an MSLC registered nurse, suggested the proceeds from the first “Sal’s Ride” come to the MSLC Littman Cancer Center.
“We are extremely grateful for the Orange County Harley Owners Group’s kindness and generosity,” said Joan Cusack-McGuirk, MSLC President and CEO. “We are so proud to receive this gift for the third year in a row from our dear friends at OCNYHOG. On behalf of the Littman Cancer Center team, the St. Luke's Cornwall Health System Foundation, and all of us at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall, thank you to the OCNYHOG Chapter—and our very own Donna Florie—for their continued generosity.”
This is the 3rd year in a row that OCNYHOG has selected the MSLC Littman Cancer Center as the recipient of the registration fees to their annual “Sal's Ride” event along with the money raised as part of their 50/50 raffle.
