SLCH Named A Great Place To Work For the Second Year In a Row
Newburgh, NY — St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital was certified as a great workplace for the second year in a row by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work®. SLCH has earned this credential based on extensive ratings provided by its employees in anonymous surveys. SLCH is one of only thirteen hospitals in the nation to be recognized as a Great Place to Work, and the organization joins the likes of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. 83% of SLCH employees say it’s a great workplace, with an overwhelming 92% of respondents indicating that their work has special meaning and is not “just a job.” More than 90% of respondents also indicated that they felt their work allows them to contribute to the community and leaves them with a strong sense of pride.

SLCH was the recipient of the National Business Research Institute Circle of Excellence Award, yet another tribute to the hospital’s strong workplace principles, as evidenced by its annual employee satisfaction survey which showcased increases in every area including community involvement, communications, management style as well as culture and climate. SLCH is also the only hospital in the Hudson Valley to be included in Becker’s Top 150 Healthcare Employers list.
