Annual Golf and Tennis Outing Raises More Than $125K
Newburgh, NY- The St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation raised more than $125,000 net proceeds in support of St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital at its annual Golf & Tennis outing held on June 25, at the Powelton Club.
The outing was a great success, having sold out in both the morning and afternoon flight for golf, and the highest number of tennis participants than ever before. Top sponsors for this year’s outing included Pepsi Cola of the Hudson Valley, Restorix Health, as well as Mid-Hudson Anesthesiologists.
“We could not have asked for a better day for this event,” said Joan Cusack-McGuirk, SLCH President and CEO. “Thanks to the support of our donors, community members and dear friends of SLCH, we are able to raise much needed funds in support of our community hospital.”
Funds raised at this year’s event will support SLCH program’s and services. As SLCH announced last year, the hospital is undergoing an $8 million expansion of Emergency services on its Newburgh campus, and in partnership with Montefiore Health System, the hospital is expanding the scope of its services such as Oncology and Rehabilitation.
“I’d like to thank our golf and tennis committee, led by co-chairs Ellen Kelly, Bob Hatfield, and Fred Dabroski Jr., for their efforts that made the day such a success,” said Anne Marie Schoonhoven, Executive Director of the St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation. I would also like to thank our Hole-in-One Sponsor, Hudson Valley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram for their generosity and support.”
Next on the docket for the St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation is the annual Gala, which will be held at Anthony’s Pier 9 on September 15, honoring Dr. Geoffrey Brackett, Michelle Rider, Esq., Patrick Ortland and Father Mark Connell. For more information, please click here.
