St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital Names Interim CEO
Newburgh, NY- St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) announces the resignation of its President and CEO, Robert Ross. Mr. Ross will continue to serve as SLCH's President and CEO until his departure in early June.
"We wish Rob the best in his new endeavors and are confident in his abilities to serve his new employer as well as he has served throughout his tenure of more than thirteen years here at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital," stated Michelle Rider, Chairwoman of the SLCH Board of Trustees.
While the SLCH Board conducts a search for its next CEO, Joan Cusack-McGuirk will be appointed to serve as Interim President and CEO upon Mr. Ross' departure. Ms. Cusack-McGuirk has held various positions with both St. Luke's and the Cornwall Hospital throughout the last 25 years, including her current role of Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer.
"We have supreme confidence in Joan, our hospital's entire management team, medical leadership and staff to continue providing high quality healthcare to our community during Rob's transition and beyond," said Ms. Rider.
Mr. Ross and the SLCH Board of Trustees are committed to implementing a thorough transition plan. He will be working with Ms. Cusack-McGuirk through the next several months to ensure an orderly transition.
