Newburgh, NY- St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation raised $167,000 at its Golf & Tennis Tournament held June 25th at the Powelton Club. Net proceeds from the event will be used to support the programs and services at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.
"It was another fantastic day, both for the participants and the Foundation,” said John Pelella, Foundation Board Chair. “I would like to extend my thanks to the many players, volunteers and sponsors who make this such a successful event every year. Their generosity helps St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital continue to provide high-quality care to our community.”
In addition to the play on the course and courts, best-selling author James Patterson, who was born at St. Luke’s Hospital, was in attendance to meet participants and sign autographs.
“We sincerely thank everyone who made the day so special,” said Joan Cusack-McGuirk, SLCH Interim President and CEO. “The support we receive is vital to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital’s ability to provide nationally-recognized care to our community. I commend the golf and tennis committee, led by co-chairs Bob Hatfield, Fred Dabroski, Jr., and Philip and Tina DeAngelo, for their efforts that made the day such a success.”
